The Silver Comet Trail is now 10 years old, and recently the last stretch was completed that links the popular biking and walking trail to the Chief Ladiga trail in Alabama.

A dedication ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. in an agricultural field near the Georgia/Alabama state line, about 15 miles west of Cedartown.

Correction: An earlier version of this story listed the dedication time as 7:30 a.m. A bicycle ride associated with the dedication ceremony began this morning, but the ceremony itself will be held at 2 p.m.
