Both the Lady Bulldogs and Bulldogs of Cedartown High School have made the Class AAA state playoffs in tennis.

The Cedartown girls finished fourth at the recent Region 6-AAA tournament to qualify for state. The Lady Bulldogs are scheduled to play at St. Pius X on Wednesday in the first round.

Cedartown’s Lady Bulldogs ended region tournament play as the fourth seed by defeating Heritage-Catoosa in round one, losing to Carrollton in the second round and falling to LaFayette in round three.

The Bulldogs took third place in the region tournament last week and they will open state play on Thursday at Dunwoody.

The boys finished as region six’s third seed by defeating Lakeview Fort-Oglethorpe in round one, losing to Cartersville in the second round and defeating Ringgold in round three.
