The following is a list of events going on in and around Polk County this weekend, March 23-24:

Saturday

1. Anna Kresge United Methodist Chruch, 15 Booger Hollow Road, Cedartown, has several events scheduled for March. The Church will a Vesper service on Friday, March 22 at 6 p.m. An Easter Egg hunt and kite fly will be held on Saturday, March 23 at 2 p.m.

2. Connect Missionary Church, 910 S. Main St., holds Celebrate Recovery Services, a Christ-centered recovery program, on Saturdays at 6 p.m.

3. Lime Branch Baptist Church, 1127 Tallapoosa Hwy, Cedartown, will have its second annual "Easter Egg Hunt in the Dark" on Saturday, March 23. Children must be accompanied by an adult and must register in the activities building prior to the event. Festivities begin at 7 p.m. Please bring a flashlight and basket. Sunday

1. Abundance of Praise C.M.E. Church will hold a “Church in the Park” program every second and fourth Sunday of each month. The program will start at 11 a.m. and is located at 254 Turner St., Cedartown.

2. Cedar Ridge church is partnering with the Compassion Building, the Junior Service League and Redmond Medical Center to hold an Easter Egg hunt on Sunday, March 24 at Peek Park from 2-4 p.m. The event is completely free and open to the public, but the egg hunt portion will be for kids ages 0 to 12-years-old. There will be thousands of eggs, popcorn, snow cones, face painting, inflatables, and more.

3. The Rockmart Civic Arts Commission 316 N. Piedmont Ave., Bldg. 300, Rockmart, holds open studio oil painting classes on Sundays from 2:30 – 4:30 p.m. The cost is $15 per session. Please contact James Hill at 770-355-1535 if you plan to attend.
