During the contest, the young Bulldogs were able to take advantage of shaking Pepperell pitching. Cedartown had eight batters draw walks in the second inning along. Four batters were also hit by a pitch in this contest.
Casey Newsome did hit his second home run of the season to pace the Bulldogs offensive attack.
“Trevon Wofford pitched well and hit a double,” head coach Bill Ellis said. “Dalton Prince continued his stellar work behind the plate, blocking pitches in the dirt and holding runners close to the base with his strong arm.”
Cedartown is scheduled to play Rome today, weather permitting.
