Westside Elementary School recently held a fundraising campaign for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s “Pennies for Patients.”

Westside students collected $2,505.58 in coins over the three week period. The money raised is used for research and patient services for those affected by Leukemia, Lymphoma, and other blood diseases.

Students pictured above are from the winning homerooms. Mrs. Tonya Wilson’s 5th grade class raised $258.88 and Ms. Jessica Sanders’ Pre-K class raised $196.53. Both classes had a pizza party to celebrate their accomplishments.
