Three arrested on drug charges

Three were arrested in Rockmart last week following an investigation into methamphetamine possession and sales, according to a Polk County Police Department (PCPD) official.

Sgt. Wayne Lloyd of the PCPD Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET) said a narcotics search warrant was served Feb. 20 at a home at 611 Long Ave, Rockmart.

The search ended with three people going to jail.

Megan Alicia Payne, 23, who lives at the address; Terry Drew Rayburn, 28, of 3398 Rockmart Highway, Cedartown; and Brett Wayne Dingler, 30, of 768 Beason Road, Calhoun, are each charged with methamphetamine possession and possession of drug-related objects.

Payne and Dingler have been released on bond. Rayburn remains in the Polk County Jail.

The PCPD drug team would like to thank the Cedartown Police Department’s K-9 Unit for assistance during the search warrant.
