Mr. Chandler was born in Tallapoosa County Alabama on Jan. 1, 1934 the son of Wilbur Ellis and Annie Esprence Ledford Chandler.
He was retired from Inland Container and attended First Baptist Church of Wedowee. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters Lena Hughes and Annie Clayton.
Mr. Chandler is survived by his wife Mary Lynn Clark Chandler of Wedowee; two daughters Judy (Winton) Akers and Shirley (Jerry) Hansen all of Carrollton; sons Steve Chandler of Carrollton and Phil Chandler of Cedartown; brother-in-law Wendell Hughes of Woodstock; nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services were held Monday Feb. 4 at 11 a.m. from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Cade Farris officiating. Graveside services were held at Carroll Memory Gardens in Carrollton, at 1 p.m.
