The following is a list of events going on in and around Polk County this weekend Feb. 9-10:

Saturday

1. The Rockmart Civic Arts Commission 316 N. Piedmont Ave., Bldg. 300, Rockmart, civic arts gallery is open on Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. or by appointment.

2. Friendship Baptist Church, 2274 Cave Spring Road, Cedartown, will hold a Valentines spaghetti dinner on Saturday, Feb. 9 from 5-7 p.m. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children four to 11-years-old. Children three and under eat free. Dine in or take out is available. Proceeds will go to vacation Bible school.

Sunday

1. Anna Kresge United Methodist Chruch, 15 Booger Hollow Road, Cedartown, will holds breakfast at 9:30 a.m., Sunday school classes at 10 a.m. and worship service at 10:55 a.m.

2. Abundance of Praise C.M.E. Church will hold a “Church in the Park” program every second and fourth Sunday of each month. The program will start at 11 a.m. and is located at 254 Turner St., Cedartown.

3. Freedom Baptist Church, 770 Huntington Rd., Cedartown, invites everyone to join in a “Read the Bible For Life” class every Sunday at 6 p.m.
