The incident took place at 5:20 p.m., according to police and fire officials. The driver was in the parking lot of Grand's Food Store on South Main Street when his car accelerated, ran through a fence, and into a nearby home.
The home is located next door to Cedartown doctor Ben Anderson's office.
The driver's name is not being released at this time and there were no other injuries reported.
