The Polk School District made the call early this morning that roads were safe enough to travel and school would be in session at the usual time.
Polk County saw a pretty dusting of snow last night that started falling around 4 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
By 10 p.m. last night, the temp had actually risen somewhat -- to around 37 degrees -- and most of the snowfall melted.
Drivers are still urged to use a little extra caution when driving.
