The following is a list of events going on in and around Polk Count today, Jan. 15:

1. The Cedartown Senior Citizen Nutrition Center located next to Bert Wood Park has activities Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Seniors 55 and older may participate in activities. Seniors 60 and older may participate in activities as well as nutritional meals and trips.

2. The Rockmart Civic Arts Commission offers pottery classes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (6:30 – 8:30 p.m.) each week with Instructor and artist Paul Craighead (770-843-5302) at $15 per session. The Open Studio format of these classes allows you the flexibility to take the classes around your schedule.

3. The Rockmart Civic Arts Commission is selling tickets to the "Ma White's Bottoms Show" at 1/2 price every day this week.
