Mr. Lieupo “Carl” Crawford, 64, of Cedartown, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012.

He was born on July 30, 1948 in Atlanta, the son of the late Lieupo and Merle Gallimore Crawford.

Mr. Crawford was a veteran, proudly serving with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam Era. He was a member of the Caledonia Lodge No. 121 F&AM, Cedartown Adoniram No. 41, Royal Arts Masons and served on the Grand Council, E. Sublime Masons.

Mr. Crawford was a member of the Cedar Valley Shrine Club and was a past president for 2000. He was a member of the Yaarab Shrine Temple in Atlanta and was a longtime member of the Harmony Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Judy A. Crawford; sons, Carl Jay Crawford and Harry Gene Crawford; daughters, Rebecca Crawford, Thersea A. Crawford and Leslie N. Crawford; brother, Kenneth R. Crawford; sister, Elaine Johnson; 10 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, Dec. 15 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Glaze and the Rev. Royce Campbell officiating. Interment followed in the family lot of the Antioch Cemetery with full military honors being conducted by the Brown-Wright Post No. 12 Honor Guard. Masonic Rites were administered at graveside by the N.W. Georgia Masonic Memorial Group.

The following gentlemen were asked to serve as pallbearers: Brad Barber, Jessie Preston, Jon Crawford, Shelton Davis, Cody Preston, Skylar Preston, Wess Lefurgy, Jeff Lefurgy and Rev. Keith Powers.

Honorary pallbearers were: Bobby Johnson, Gene Crawford, Brandon Johnson, Eddie Preston, Dannie Quarles and Dylan Carter.
