The following is a list of events going on in and around Polk County today, Dec. 13:

1. Colleetoe’s Salon and Floyd Physical Therapy and Rehab are holding a coat drive for the Cedartown United Fund through today. New or used coats can be dropped off to Colleetoe’s Salon, 126 E. Fairmount Ave., Cedartown, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. or Floyd Physical Therapy and Rehab, 801 N. Main St., Cedartown from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Floyd is also accepting hats and gloves.

2. The Polk County Library Board will hold its annual meeting on Thursday, Dec. 13 at the Rockmart Library at 11 a.m. For more information, contact Dawn Hampton at 706-236-4630.

3. Winthrope at Polk will hold its Christmas open house on Thursday, Dec. 13 from 5-7 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend.

4. The Rockmart Theatre, 116 East Elm St., Rockmart, will show "A Country Christmas Carol" at 7 p.m. Tickets will be $10 at the door or $5 in advance and advance pricing online by using discount code “RCAC” at www.RockmartLittleTheatre.TicketLeap.com.
