Dave Grove, pastor of Cedartown First Presbyterian Church, said the singing would be comprised only of carols and hymns found in most church hymn books.
“It is our belief that there are many folks in our community who would want to begin the Christmas season with a very intentional focus on the ‘reason for the season’, the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,” Grove said.
"We intend to spend an hour together with our neighbors singing nothing but traditional Christmas Carols,” Grove said. He stated that the singing would not include secular songs, and that there would be no preaching or taking up of a collection.
“This will be a very simple event,” Grove said. “All we are asking is for you to come join us.”
The lyrics will be available for everyone, and hot chocolate and hot cider will be provided.
Everyone is invited to attend. For more information, call Dave Grove at 770-748-2640.
