TALLAPOOSA, Ga. - Authorities say one person was injured after an explosion rocked a Haralson County truck stop on Wednesday.

The explosion occurred at the Newborn Truck Stop on Highway 100 near Interstate 20 in Tallapoosa.

According to Haralson County Fire Chief Bryan Walker, a propane delivery driver was filling a tank at a restaurant when a spark ignited an explosion.

The resulting fire damaged the Country Tyme Restaurant at the truck stop.

Walker says the driver of the truck was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries in a private vehicle.
