Competing in the Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation Authority football league, four Cedartown teams will be playing in playoff games next week.
The seven-and-eight-year-old Cedartown White team, participating in the Junior Pee Wee Division I playoffs, opens the postseason on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. against the Dragons Gold.
The Cedartown Red seven-and-eight-year-old team, also playing in the Junior Pee Wee Division I bracket, opens the playoffs Tuesday at 7 p.m. against the Wolfpack. Both teams will play at Riverview Park in Rome.
Also, the Bulldogs 11-and-12-year-old team, playing in the Mite Division will play Tuesday as well. The Bulldogs are 8-0 this season, having outscored their opponents 248 to 58. They will open the playoffs against the Indians Blue Tuesday at 6 p.m. They will play at the Boys and Girls Club in Rome.
The Cedartown Bulldogs, a nine and 10-year-old squad playing in Pee Wee Division I, will open the playoffs as the No. 1 seed on Thursday at 6 p.m. The Bulldogs, who received a first round bye, will play the winner of the Apaches and Wildcat Blue game. That game will be at Riverview Park in Rome.
