He was born in Polk County on June 2, 1943, the son of the late Rufus Elmer Lyle and the late Inez Ford Lyle.
Mr. Lyle was self-employed in the scrap metal business.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Lawanda and Jimmy Folsom of Buchanan, Pam and Barry Folds of Roopville and Melissa and Todd Abercrombie of Tallapoosa; one son, Randy of Waco; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, Oct.r 22 at 1 p.m. from Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel with Robert Edwards officiating.
Interment followed in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Cook officiating at the graveside.
The following gentlemen served as pallbearers: Preston Abercrombie, Blake Abercrombie, Todd Abercrombie, Corey Lyle, Jimmy Folsom and Phillip Brett. Serving as an honorary pallbearer was Justin Lyle.
Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan was in charge of the arrangements.
