the following is a list of events going on in and around Polk County today, Oct. 18:

1. The Cedartown Senior Citizen Nutrition Center located next to Burt Wood Park has activities Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Seniors 55 and older may participate in activities. Seniors 60 and older may participate in activities as well as nutritional meals and trips.

2. Early voting in Polk County began Oct. 15 and continues through Nov. 2 Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Cedartown Elections Office, 144 West Ave., Cedartown, and the Nathan Dean Community Center, 604 Goodyear Av. Rockmart.

3. Coosa Valley Regional Services will hold their monthly board meeting on Oct. 18 at 10 a.m. at the main office located at 3 Riverside Industrial Prkwy in Rome.

4. The Rome Library Puppeteers will be returning to the Cedartown Library on Oct. 18 at 10 a.m.
