DALLAS, GA. — A detective said an emaciated teenager who said he'd been confined for years with little food was so malnourished he still had baby teeth at 18.

Detective Kevin Morgan with the Paulding County Sheriff's Office testified that Mitch Comer was so small and slight that Morgan thought the teen was 12 years old.

His testimony came during a probable cause hearing for Paul and Sheila Comer in Paulding County Magistrate Court. The Comers were arrested last month and accused of abusing 18-year-old Mitch Comer. He weighed 87 pounds when he was found in Los Angeles.

The Comers, dressed in orange and white striped jail suits, were seated at a table with their lawyers.

The Comers face charges of false imprisonment and cruelty to children.
