Chaudry Rashid's case is set for oral arguments before the Georgia Supreme Court on Monday.
His lawyers argue a lower court committed several errors, including allowing jurors to see a videotaped conversation between Rashid and his family in which he says he killed his 25-year-old daughter after she disgraced the family. Rashid's lawyers say their client believed he was having a private conversation with his family and didn't realize police had left a video camera running.
The state argues other evidence proves beyond a reasonable doubt that Rashid killed his daughter, and the video merely confirms it.
