She was born on June 15, 1927 in Birmingham, Ala., the daughter of the late Charles Manco Akins and the late Audrey White Akins.
Mrs. Ezzell was a member of the Second Baptist Church of Rockmart where served as a Sunday School Teacher, a member of the WMU and worked in Vacation Bible School. She was a homemaker and volunteered as a Gray Lady with the Rockmart-Aragon Hospital.
Mrs. Ezzell was preceded in death by her husband,. Edwin Ezzell on Feb. 25, 1994; two sisters, Hazel White and Mary Puckett; two brothers, Ralph Akins and. Howard Akins and a sister-in-law, Shizuko Akins.
She was survived by two sons, Terry and Melissa Ezzell of Mableton and Jerry and Carolyn Ezzell of Jekyll Island; several grandchildren and a number of extended relatives.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 2 p.m. at the Second Baptist Church of Rockmart with Rev. David Warriner officiating.
Interment services followed in the family lot of Rose Hill Cemetery.
