She was born on June 4, 1918 in Bartow County, the daughter of the late W. Ray Rhodes and the late Ethel Shaw Rhodes.
Mrs. Taylor attended Bessie Tift College in Forsyth. She was a former assistant postmaster of the Taylorsville Post Office and was co-owner of Rhodes Grocery Store.
Mrs. Taylor was a member of the Taylorsville Baptist Church where she was the musician all her adult life.
Survivors include five nephews and nieces-in-law.
Funeral graveside and interment services were held on Friday, Aug. 31 at 2 p.m. in the family lot of the Taylorsville Cemetery with Rev. Douglas Harris officiating.
The following gentlemen served as pallbearers: Ronnie Rhodes, Dennis Rhodes, Don Rhodes, Ken Rhodes, Dr. Brad Ward and Franklin Cousins.
