Euharlee Valley Historical Society Inc. is completing a few more restoration projects on the Historic Van Wert Church building.

The group has hired workers Nick Jackson, Jeff Bentley and Jodie Bentley to reroof the steeple and do repair work on the foundation sill on the north side of the building.

On the inside, lights and ceiling fans are being installed.

With these projects now being completed, the group is getting closer to opening a local history museum for the area, a spokesperson said.
