She was born in Rome and was employed by Floyd Behavioral Health Center as a Registered Nurse.
Ms. Bridges is survived by parents, Henry and Eva Ruth Short; daughter, Kayla Bridges; son, Matt Bridges and brothers, Eddie Short, John Short and Brad Short. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In keeping with her wishes, she was cremated.
A memorial visitation was held on Sunday, Sept. 9 from 2–4 p.m. at the Gammage Funeral Home.
Flowers are to be omitted. Memorial contributions may be made to the Polk County Animal Shelter, 1215 Veal St., Cedartown, GA 30125.
