She was born July 9, 1937 in Haralson County, the daughter of the late Clarence Jackson and Dovie Norris Jackson.
Mrs. Chandler was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Kathlyn Wood, Marilyn Smith, three brothers, J.B. Jackson, Lanorris (Hoot) Jackson and Ed Jackson and a grandson.
She is survived by husband, Hayward G. Chandler; daughter, Barbara Jean Owens (Kirk); sons, Rodney Chandler (Terri), Roland Chandler and Edward Guy Chandler; two sisters, Margie Redding and Barbara Smith;two brothers, Roland Jackson and Gary Jackson; eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and two God-grandchildren.
The funeral service was conducted on Thursday, Sept. 6, at 2 p.m. at Youngs Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Barry McCullough and Rev. Blake Dodd officiating.
Interment followed in Northview Cemetery.
Pallbearers were K. J. Owens, Carl Redding, Brandy Silvers, Daryl Little, Sr., Eddy Greenway, Alan Hosmer, Scotty Chandler, Grant Morgan, Micah Glover and Jeremy Glover.
The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
