Old Glory was hung from wall mounts on downtown buildings provided by the city and merchants along Main Street, along with several other locations in Cedartown.
The flag duty taken on by the Scouts is sponsored by the local Kiwanis Club. Troop 40 meets at Anna Kresge Memorial United Methodist Church and the troop is also sponsored by the local Exchange Club.

If any business on or near Main Street is interested in supporting Cedartown Kiwanis and the Boy Scouts through the display of a flag in front of your business, it is a small fee of $20 per year. This fee covers our costs in keeping the wall mounts and flags in good condition, and supports other Troop 40 activities; with this arrangement, you don't have to store a flag between holidays, or worry about it not being handled in a respectful way. We are proud to provide beautiful American flags throughout the year to show our city and national pride; I think it is a most beautiful sight to look down Main Street and see Old Glory flying in the breeze!
