Savannah-Chatham police spokeswoman Gena Sullivan tells The Savannah Morning News that officers were called to the home on Cloverdale Drive late Saturday night.
Sullivan said arriving officers were told that a dead man was inside the residence. Police were told the man broke into the home, was confronted by one of the occupants and was shot during the confrontation.
Police identified the dead man as a 36-year-old Savannah man. Police did not immediately release the identity of the person who shot him.
