Cedartown police are investigating a reported armed robbery called into to police early Sunday morning, according to Assistant Police Chief Jamie Newsome.

An emergency call from Pizza Hut’s manager came in just after midnight Saturday, Newsome said.

Police were at Pizza Hut on North Main Street just moments after the call, he said.

The manager was alone in the restaurant at the time of the incident, according to Newsome.

Newsome said officers did not see any suspects in the immediate area and called canine units to assist in the search.

“Right now, we’re just trying to determine what happened,” he said.
