Cedartown Dogs win Dizzy Dean State title

The Cedartown Dogs won the 13-and-under Dizzy Dean baseball State championship July 9. Playing in a four-day tournament, the Dogs went undefeated, including a 16-0 win against the East Side Tide in the championship game. By winning state, the Dogs will now travel to Mississippi to vie for the Dizzy Dean World Series championship. The Dogs also won the Georgia Recreation and Parks Association (GRPA) District Tournament in Cedartown recently and will be competing in the GRPA State Tournament in Bainbridge, Ga.
