Skydive the Farm, located in the Fish Creek community between Cedartown and Rockmart, was the host site of the Canopy Piloting Nationals last week. At the United States Parachuting Association’s event last Thursday and Friday, two new records were set.

Competitor Greg Windmiller set the new speed record while Nicholad Batsch set the new competition record for distance.

Participants competed in three different divisions, with Thomas Dellibac winning the speed division, Curt Batholomew the accuracy division, and Batsch the distance division.

The skydiving exhibition brought 57 competitors from around the world to Polk County’s Skydive the Farm. Competitors in the tournament and four guest competitors came from outside the U.S. – from Ukraine, South America, Canada and Denmark. The contests were split into Open (professional) and Advanced (amateur) levels.
