In the opening game of pool play, the Xtreme lost to the Georgia Smash 5-4.
Against the Georgia Reign in the second pool play game, the Xtreme played better according to coach Shane Lee and they won 8-4. Skylar Rogers earned the game ball for this contest.
In the third pool play contest, the Cedartown squad squared off with the Smokin’ Guns and despite falling behind early 6-2, the Xtreme rallied to tie the contest 8-8 and finish the game in a tie.
Competing in the elimination bracket, the Xtreme faced the Strike Force ’99 and with Lizzie Lee pitching the entire game, the Xtreme won to advance to the championship game. Lauren-Ashlee Tillery earned the game ball for that contest.
In the championship contest, the Xtreme played the Georgia Reign once again. Cedartown had a strong outing from their pitcher Tillery and won the game 5-4.
Cedartown trailed 4-3 going into the last inning, but would be able to rally back and win when an Xtreme player was walked with the bases loaded.
The Xtreme have won two tournaments this year while placing second twice and finishing in third once.
