Church softball league under way in Rockmart

The 2012 City of Rockmart church softball league season is under way, according to Rockmart Recreation Director Jeff Hulsey,.

Hulsey stated that the league started play Tuesday, May 8. The league will be playing four games a night on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Nathan Dean Sports Complex through the month of June.

“We are looking for a great year of adult softball,” Hulsey said.

Teams playing this season are Victory Baptist Church, Morning View Baptist Church, Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church, Flint Hill Baptist Church, Fairview Baptist Church, Youngs Grove Baptist Church, and Tip Top.
