An Aragon man was taken in on a state warrant Wednesday on battery and first-degree cruelty to children charges.

Aragon Police arrested 26-year-old Arron Harris of 5A Oak St., Aragon. He re-mains in the Polk County Jail.

Aragon police are looking for a red Ford truck whose driver is believed responsible for $1,800 in damages to a convenience store.

Reports state that Wolfe’s, located at 2884 East Rome Hwy., sustained damages Jan. 13. The property owner said the flatbed truck hit a sign connected to the store as it left the parking lot.
