The U.S. Marshal’s Service has a reason why several gathered at a Polk County convenience store Monday morning.

They were looking for someone.

Several citizens have posted comments wondering why marshals and other law enforcement were at Cowboy’s on Highway 278 in Fish Creek Monday.

Officials with the U.S. Marshal Service said that was only a gathering spot. The marshals thought a person on their lookout list might be in the area, but so far haven’t made an arrest.

They are not providing any more details at this time because they are still looking. Officials said marshals are scouting the whole Northwest Georgia area hoping to find the person on their list.
