Jose Angeles Bacanto, 47, of 376 Wingfoot St., Rockmart, was arrested March 23 on charges of false imprisonment, cruelty to children in the first degree, battery under the Family Violence Act (FVA), rape, kidnapping and simple battery.

Mark Steven Harris, 33, of 471 Flint Hill Road, Aragon, was arrested March 20 on charges of methamphetamine possession, cocaine possession, possession of drug-related object and marijuana possession.

James Craig Knight, 52, of 271 Craton Road, Silver Creek, was arrested March 21 on charges of methamphetamine trafficking, methamphetamine possession with intent to distribute, methamphetamine possession, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of a schedule II narcotic and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

Cherhonda Lachelle Martin, 41, of 1018 Main St., Cedartown, was arrested March 23 on charges of failure to disperse upon request of police, cruelty to children in the first degree, disorderly conduct, loitering, obstruction, aggravated assault on an officer and probation violation.

Michael Anthony Martin, 44, of 528 Fletcher St., Cedartown, was arrested March 23 on charges of loitering, refusal to obey official request at emergency, cruelty to children in the first degree, obstruction, disorderly conduct and probation violation.

Jimmy Scott Sanders, 42, of 501 N. Marble St., Rockmart, was arrested March 23 on charges of probation violation, burglary, theft by taking and expired registration.

James Seth Seymour, 20, of 2478 Johnson Lake Road, Cedartown, was arrested March 26 on a charge of burglary.

Carlos Stallings, 34, of 220 Greenbriar Drive, Cedartown, was arrested March 22 on charges of two counts of battery, disorderly conduct, three counts of interference with government property, two counts of simple assault, two counts of obstruction, bond good behavior, simple assault and driving without a license.

The following people were released from the Polk County Jail on bond.

Anthony Patrick Arnold, 26, of 6 Mill Lane, Dallas, was arrested March 25 on charges of possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, license suspended and failure to obey traffic control.

Connie Sue Church Brasher, 46, of 111 Burns St., Piedmont, Ala., was arrested March 21 on a charge of methamphetamine possession.

William James Caldwell, 34, of 612 Golden St., Rockmart, was arrested March 26 on charges of driving on a withdrawn license, no brake lights and improperly transferred plate.

Rodney Jerome Cantrell, 42, of 203 Lynn Lane, Cedartown, was arrested March 20 on charges of three counts of theft by receiving stolen property and three counts of first-degree forgery.

Chekia Lacree Careathers, 21, of 528 Fletcher St., Cedartown, was arrested March 22 on charges of cruelty to children in the first degree, loitering, disorderly conduct, obstruction and inciting a riot.

Joseph Brent Carter, 24, of 49 Wheeler Road, Rockmart, was arrested March 22 on charges of possession of a schedule II narcotic and possession of prescription medication.

Zachary Ronald Carter, 22, of 222 New Prospect Road, Aragon, was arrested March 19 on charges of methamphetamine possession and possession of drug-related objects.

Kenny Lee Clemons, 32, of 25 Williamson St., Rockmart, was arrested March 22 on charges of two counts of possession of a schedule II narcotic, and possession of prescription medication not in original container.

Cadedra Lynn Cook, 28, of 1019 Jones St., Cedartown, was arrested March 19 on charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and interference with custody.

Alberto Cruz, 24, of 209 Ivy Place, Cedartown, was arrested March 25 on charges of driving on a withdrawn license and failure to drive within a single lane.

Daniel Ray Cutler, 26, of 3508 Johnson Lake Road, Cedartown, was arrested March 23 on a charge of simple assault.

David Diaz Velazquez, 20, of 703 Mona Luapa, LaGrange, was arrested March 25 on charges of speeding and driving unlicensed.

Lisa Marie Ely, 43, of 143 Howard St., Rockmart, was arrested March 24 on a charge of DUI.

Devares Laron Frazier, 33, of 121 School Lane Road, Cedartown, was arrested March 22 on charges of disorderly conduct and obstruction.

Robert Gonsales, 26, of 378 North 5th St., Cedartown, was arrested March 23 on charges of failure to appear, giving false information and disorderly conduct.

Adam Brent Jackson, 21, of 4005 3rd Ave., Rockmart, was arrested March 26 on a charge of theft by receiving stolen property.

Joseph Johnson, 57, of 122 South Estes St., Cedartown, was arrested March 19 on charges of failure to stop for stop sign, drug possession, DUI, and child restraint law.
