Update: An official with the U.S. Attorney’s Office is keeping quiet on a raid at a Cedartown pharmacy last Friday.

“We are not presently commenting on the events with Brown’s Pharmacy,” said John Horn, First Assistant U.S. Attorney with the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Brown’s Pharmacy at 546 North Main St., Cedartown, was the location of a federally initiated search warrant April 13.

A task force officer with the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), who said she isn’t allowed to give her name, confirmed during the incident that the DEA had conducted a search warrant on the pharmacy.

The search warrant is a part of an ongoing investigation, she said.

However, that is all she would say.
