“We have had a number of calls from interested individuals,” Mike Bradley, RBA president, said.
He expects people from Cedartown, Cartersville, Rome and Dallas will attend.
RBA members believe that visitors will come to a condensed yard sale rather than driving around the area looking for one.
However, they do not know what the response will be since this is the first time they have hosted such an event.
Plans are for participants to be set up in the grass area on the grounds of the Senior Center near where “Under the Oaks” Farmers Market is held. If this site fills, it could flow into the street.
Bradley said the area has been mapped and 47 vendor spaces are available. These are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis to those who pay the $10 fee.
RBA will provide the space, but people who wish to participate will need to set up a table and/or other way of displaying items they will have on sale.
Pleasant Hill Baptist Church has reserved two spaces and plan to place a tent for their wares, according to Brenda Lesley, RBA.
She said Relay for Life volunteers will be set up across the street near First National Bank. They plan to hold their annual yard sale for Relay.
