Last weekend, March 10-11, the Jackets went 4-0 at the 2012 YAI pre-season Invitational tournament in Rome. They defeated the Coosa Eagles, Cartersville Cyclones, Rome Wolves and Adairsville Jackhammers to win the tournament. Rockmart outscored their opponents 76-15 at the tournament, including winning the championship game 19-8 against Cartersville.
Rockmart, which won another tournament this year as well, went 20-5 with two tournament championships and two first runners-up last year while playing with seven five-year-olds and four six-year-olds.
