A woman sustained visible injuries after being rescued from her vehicle by Polk County firefighters Monday afternoon.

According to Polk County Volunteer Fire Department officials, the driver wrecked on Highway 278 near Cedartown around 3 p.m. Tuesday. It was a one-vehicle wreck, officials said.

Reports are not yet available, but officials said her Toyota Forerunner appeared to have overturned several times. She was trapped inside and firefighters had to use a tool to open the door.

Other responding to the wreck include Cedartown Police Department and Georgia State Patrol.
