Megan Montgomery, 22, of the Fish Creek community, was arrested Saturday and was released later that day on a $1,000 bond issued by a magistrate judge.
Montgomery’s charges center from a report generated by her mother, Aletha, regarding jewelry missing from the family home and pawned at a local shop, according to police.
Aletha Montgomery had filed the report in order to involve police in finding her daughter, police said. Police could not classify her as a missing person since Montgomery was an adult and apparently left her parent’s home on her own.
Her mother is dropping the charge, according to police.
Montgomery was found in the Cincinnati, Ohio, area. Her parents had traveled to Ohio after police found her abandoned car.
Montgomery said she went to visit a friend but he wasn’t home. She claims she got lost, ran out of money, and was kidnapped by two men.
She told parents she had escaped the men. A passer-by found her and took her to authorities, according to father Tony Montgomery.

her mother should not be able to drop the charges or she should be made to pay for the costs of the investigation.
I'm sure she knew who took the jewelry and pawned it. If she drops the charges she isnt teaching her daughter her anything.
