The 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals issued its decision last week on Alexis White's case. He claimed police violated his civil rights when he was asked to help cover up the shooting of 92-year-old Kathryn Johnston.
But the court concluded that White failed to prove city policies led officers to violate his civil rights. It said his other claims were "frivolous."
Johnston died in her home in 2006 when three members of an Atlanta police drug squad kicked in the door and opened fire after she took a shot at them with a revolver.
