A youth football team in Cedartown has found a lot of luck on the field this season.

The 11-and-12-year-old Cedartown Bulldogs, a team from the recreation department, has had a successful season so far this year, sporting a 4-0 record.

According to assistant coach Drew Robinson – a former Cedartown High standout football player – the young team has crushed each opponent they have played this year, outscoring them by a total score of 121-14.

Cedartown has defeated Woodland, Cartersville, and Adairsville and they won by forfeit over Darlington.

Barry Williams, a former high school assistant football coach, is the head coach. He is helped by Randy Kirkpatrick, Kyle Camp, John Bell, and Robinson.

Cedartown is slated to play against a team from Cartersville at home at 6:30 p.m. today.

On Saturday, the Cedartown squad will travel to play Calhoun.

On Oct. 18, Cedartown will host Cass. On Oct. 25 they will play against a team called the Storm, and then on Oct. 26 they will square off against Sonoraville in the last regular season game of the year.

Members of the team are Jacob Cornwell, Jhett Lewis, Jacob Groves, Payton Morrow, Dakota Mason, Nick Pruitt, Cruz Rodriguez, Moriah Terry, Kelsey Pointer, Logan Casey, Sam Payne.

Hunter Moats, Miles Minge, Austin Dean, Elijah Fluker, Ramsey Corn, Brandon Bentley, Payton Bell, Carlos Robinson, Bailey Dunn, Jesse Kirkpatrick, Andrew Guttery, Landon Barnes.

Nick Huddleston, Andrew Tracy, Nick Hughes, Ty Pope, Kalem Overstreet, Riley Thompson, Jack Haney, Lucas Tracy, Dalton Eason, Austin King, and Ethan Dyer.
