A Rome man faces sex charges regarding two alleged incidents with a Cedartown boy last year, according to police.

William Edward Johnson, 48, of 411 Woodward St., Rome, was arrested Sept. 22 by Polk County Sheriff’s Deputies on a warrant, according to jail records.

He remains in the Polk County Jail on charges of two counts of aggravated child molestation and two counts of aggravated sodomy, records state.

Cedartown police initiated the warrant Sept. 20 after the mother of the boy filed a report.

Police said the boy, now 13-years-old, told his mother about two incidents allegedly occurring July 2010, when he was 12-years-old.
