Rockmart City Clerk Pam Herring has received an award of financial reporting achievement from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA).

In a letter from Stephen J. Gauthier, Director, GFOA, Herring was informed of the honor for her comprehensive annual financial report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2010.

The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.

Herring was recognized during the September meeting of the Rockmart mayor and city council.
