Saturday:
1. The Berry College Farmer's Market will open in Rome at 7 a.m. The market will feature food and entertainment and will last through 2 p.m.
2. The Rockmart Youth Soccer Association will celebrate its opening day of the season on Saturday with a parade and opening ceremonies. The parade is set to kickoff at 10 a.m.and travel down Elm Street. It will end at the Nathan Dean Sports Complex where a ceremony will be held to officially begin the 2011 season.
3. Rockmart Business Alliance (RBA) is sponsoring a Fall Festival from 11 until dark. Seaborn Jones Park, downtown Rockmart. There will be games for the kids, food vendors, a band & "Elvis" impersonator along with arts and crafts. Prior to the Festival there will be a motorcycle ride to benefit Juvenile Diabetes. Motorcycle cruise-in and bike games begin @ 3:00 p.m. GA Dept of Drivers Services will be on hand for mobile motorcycle testing. For further information, call Ed Barber 687-988-3430
4. The Texaco Country Showdown will feature at the Cedartown Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. tickets are $10
Sunday
1. Cedartown First Presbyterian Church will hold Sunday moring worship service beginning at 11 a.m.
2. Cedartown First United Methodist Church will hold Sunday morning worship service beginning at 11 a.m.
