CUSSETA, Ga. -- Georgia Bureau of Investigation agents are investigating the deaths of two people found in a house destroyed by fire in Chattahoochee County in west Georgia.

GBI spokesman Mike Fordham tells the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer (http://bit.ly/qorGod) the investigation was launched during an autopsy at the lab. He described the deaths as suspicious.

Fordham said a cause of death had not been determined for either victim. He said the bodies were badly burned, and will need to be identified by using dental records.

Cusseta-Chattahoochee County Fire Chief Johnny Floyd Jr. said firefighters arrived at the home around 3 a.m. Tuesday to find it engulfed by fire.
