Gas prices up slightly from Sunday, but down a dime from last Monday

Metro Atlanta began the last work week before the Memorial Day holiday with average gas prices up slightly from a day earlier, but down a dime from a week ago.

Monday’s average price for a gallon of regular unleaded reported by atlantagasprices.com was $3.88 cents a gallon, compared to Sunday’s average of $3.85.

Across the state, the website reported an average price of $3.79. The national average is $3.83.

The metro area’s cheapest gas early Monday was $3.62 at a Chevron station in Covington and $3.63 at numerous stations in the Cartersville area.
