The following is a list of events going on in and around Polk County Monday, May 23:

1. The Cedartown Board Meeting usually held on the third Monday of each month will be held May 23 at 2 p.m. in the auditorium of Grayfield Apartments. The third Monday falls on a training day this month.

2. Cedartown Middle School is having a summer reading program and will meet today, May 23, from 5:30-7 p.m. to discuss it. The meeting will take place in room 110 at the middle school.

Parents can find out more information about the program at the meeting and get a copy of the grade level reading lists so their children will be prepared for next year.

Special guests at the meeting will include Kristi Wilder from Barnes & Noble and Sharon Cleveland from the Cedartown Library.

3. The Senior Center in Bert Wood Park hosts yoga classes every Monday at 6 p.m. Donations will be accepted.
