Officials from the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force of the U.S. Marshal’s Service said they had been looking for Jonathan McGatah, 37, of Pensacola, Fla., ever since a warrant was taken out on him two weeks ago.
The warrant for McGatah was on an aggravated battery and aggravated stalking charge.
He also has a warrant in Chattooga County for a probation violation on drug charges.
According to task force officials, investigators had tracked McGatah to Polk County. They listed his vehicle description with local authorities and his vehicle was found Thursday at a residence at 889 Campbell Road.
McGatah was arrested without incident.
Marshals were assisted by the Polk County Sheriff’s Department and the Georgia State Patrol, officials said.
