CMS wrestling team competed at state

The Cedartown Middle School wrestling team competed at the state tournament on Saturday, Jan. 22 at Milton High School.

Cedartown joined 31 other teams at the event, and the Bulldogs wrestled against Morgan County and Cartersville.

“They got great experience,” head coach Dr. Rick Shortt said.

Cedartown’s David Stocks, Brandon Brame and Dylan Davis each went 2-0. “They did a great job,” Shortt said.

Adrian Ervin and Tyler Young each picked up a win at state while Calvin Ragsdale, Patrick Ballew, Christopher Sherfield and Rodney Smith each participated in the state tournament.
